Retired Firefighter Roger Post Retired Firefighter Roger Post passed away Sunday December 19, 2010. He retired in June of 1981. He remained a true and faithful dues paying retiree of L-747 since 1981. A family service is planned.

A gathering of family and friends for retired Firefighter Elwin Carl Bowman will be held at the Anderson/McQueen Funeral home (2201 Dr. M. L. King St. N.) on Wednesday, June 16th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research at donations@mjff.org.

passed on January 19, 2009. Funeral arrangements are as follows: On Thursday, January 22, the viewing will be from 1 - 2 pm at R. Lee Williams Funeral Home (3530 49 Street North) with a service following at 2 pm. The service will conclude at the graveside in Memorial Gardens.

Olive Primitive Baptist Church (3001 - 18 Avenue South) with a Wake Service from 1900 - 2000 hours . Funeral service will be Saturday, Dec. 20, at 1100 hours. Interment will be at Woodlawn Gardens (1 Avenue South & 58 Street) following the service.
Retired Firefighter Wayne Perkins passed on Monday August 25, 2008. WAYNE H PERKINS 72 died August 25,2008 at Bay Pines VA Hospital. He is survived by his wife Carlene two children Robin Lavigne, Eric of St. Petersburg two step children Steven Labrecque of Porter, ME, Michelle Chute of Brentwood, NH three grand children. He is predeceased by brother “Skip”. Wayne is a retired St. Petersburg Firefighter, inventor of the “Perk Pack for the fire department and served in the US Coast Guard. Member of American Legion Post 273, Elks Holiday Isles Lodge 1912 and Wyoming Antelope Club. Services will be at 10:00AM Sept. 5, 2008 Bay Pines Veterans Cemetery. Donations may be made payable to St Petersburg College Foundation for the Wayne H Perkins Memorial Scholarship Firefighter Fund.

Retired Firefighter Gene Picard passed away on June 6, 2007. He was 70 years of age and retired from SPFR in 1979. He and his wife Rita recently moved to Milner Georgia. There will be a 10:30 am service on Saturday June 30th at the Highest Praise Family Church 1350 East Lake Road North, in Tarpon Springs, FL.
